Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and manage global Oracle database environment across AWS and on-premises platforms. The role will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, patching, automation, and production support of mission-critical Oracle databases. The candidate will play a key role during transition, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and steady-state operations while driving automation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oracle Database Administration
• Manage Oracle Database environments from Oracle 10g through 19c.
• Administer Oracle databases hosted on AWS EC2/RDS and VMware/on-prem platforms.
• Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, migration, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor database health, capacity, availability, and performance.
• Manage RMAN backup and recovery operations.
• Perform database restore and recovery testing.
• Resolve blocking, locking, and performance bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute Oracle PSU/RU patching activities.
• Work with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to resolve complex issues.
• Develop and maintain Shell/Python automation scripts.
• Automate monitoring, health checks, patching, backup validation, and routine DBA tasks.
• Drive operational efficiency through AIOps and automation initiatives.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, KEDB articles, build guides, and operational documentation.
• Participate in Service Reviews, CAB meetings, audits, and compliance activities.

Additional Information

The candidate should have minimum 5-7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

15 years full time education is required.
